As a registered charity (charity no. 1005195), Warren Playgroup holds various fundraising events during the year in order to raise the extra money that is needed to provide additional experiences and equipment for the children. All the money raised is used solely for the direct benefit of the children. It currently pays for activities such as yoga – provided by www.yogawithsarah.info/ – and the forest school sessions for school leavers at Woods Mill.
Historically we have held the bi-annual Good As New Sales, plus various special events and fundraising initiatives that we have signed up to, including the Horsham District Community Lottery , the My Nametags fundraising scheme and the CoOp Local Community Fund.
🎉October 2023 – We are delighted to have received a grand total of £2,170.66 from the Co-Op Local Community Fund. This will enable us to further enhance our outside woodland area with educational planting stations, a mini greenhouse and garden tools.
Fundraising events
Over the years, the Good As New Sales have raised over £5,000; all monies are put back into playgroup to purchase new, and update old, equipment and for the children to go on educational days out.
